Women’s Day: #BalanceforBetter
Updated: May 29, 2020
A very Happy International Women’s Day to all the kinds of amazing ladies out there!
So, I usually talk a lot about girls, women empowerment, and feminism on my Instagram. I have so much to say that I often loose track and end up writing almost a book on women related issues. This time I wanted to be short and sweet. So, I looked up on the website of International Women’s Day and thought of writing on the theme of this year.
This year lets celebrate women’s day with the theme #BalanceforBetter . In a society, a man or a woman, both have their individual roles to play with their own strengths and weaknesses. No gender is less than the other. Discrimination among genders is a major setback for the world we live in today. The potential a woman carries, mostly goes unrecognized. Women are unappreciated and looked down upon in many ways in almost every part of the world.
With equal numbers of hands and legs in both the genders, why are women oppressed? Why are women left behind when they are equally as successful as men in their fields? Why are women not given credit for thriving every day like men? Women today, are excelling in all the fields. Education, medical, corporate, sports, media, you name it. In fact, women are doing more than what is expected out of them. Women are single-handedly working and taking care of their families at home. Dealing with social stigma, fighting for their rights, self-educating themselves, and proving that they are not less than men in any way. Women deserve a lot more credit and respect than they get.
As I said, no gender is less than the other. We all have equal capabilities. Imagine both the genders sharing their strengths and responsibilities together. The world will be such a better place. Teaming up and thriving is the key. Supporting each other is the key. Striking a balance among genders is the key to a better world. Educate the people around you. Equality is a strength. This Women’s Day, put your hands out and strike the #BalanceforBetter pose and post it on social media with #IWD2019 to make a positive difference.
